Folder contents

Hi, following https://www.fsfe.org/en/forums/fellowship_smoothers/home_page_info it is possible to change the content of my "root" directory. But I do have some directories "rescued" from the old Plone CMS (like https://www.fsfe.org/en/fellows/smc/fnf and programs) which do not have a "Change profile" button (btw am I the only one to find this _horribly_ unintuitive?). How can I change them? There are some errors I would like to correct and some updates I would like to incorporate, which as of now does simply not seem possible. Thanks for any help, smc

Re: Folder contents

I am not sure I understand your problem. What exactly would you like to change in your other directories? You should be able to edit all content in your own fellows/smc/ tree. Let us know if you don't see a 'edit' button at the bottom of the documents in your folders. The 'Change profile' button is only for changing your profile, and to edit how your root folder is displayed. It is not to be used to change all other folders. Thanks stef

Re: Folder contents

In folders like smc/images or smc/Weblog I have something like [Weblog entry | ↓ ] [Create here] [Edit] Visible [ Hide ] [Remove] [ RSS feed ] at the bottom. In smc/pictures I get at least a link for an RSS feed. In smc/fnf and smc/programs there is nothing (!) at all. Another thing: in smc/ itself smc/images, smc/pictures and smc/weblog are shown like this: weblog [ Folder ] View list while smc/pictures and smc/fnf show like this: Friends And Family About my friends and about my family Read more... programs My favourite programs and why I use them Read more... I do not know if this has anything to do with it as the two folder lists do not correspond. Greetings

Re: Folder contents

You don't see anything at the bottom of smc/programs and smc/fnf because both of the are objects type 'Article'. You should be able to see the 'edit' button at the bottom of those articles: if you don't see that then we have identified the problem The other content in your home folder (images and pictures) are folders. The weblog is a 'folderish' item too. The look of your home folder seems coherent with the object types I see in the admin panel. Let us know what kind of corrections you want to do so that we can help solving the problem thanks a lot stef

Re: Folder contents

Well I do not have an edit button for * smc/pictures (which was "rescued" from the old CMS IIRC) * smc/fnf (dito) * smc/programs (dito) So if you could reestablish my ability to change these articles without completely recreating them I would be grateful .

Re: Folder contents

Ok, this should be fixed now. You are now the owner of all data in your home folder. Let us know if it works thanks for the patience and accept our apology. /stef

Re: Folder contents

I now have a Edit button in every of the three folders / articles. I guess that I am able to actually edit the contents though I have not tried. Thanks for the help! Greetings, smc
