Result of my 3 tests - what happens when a blog is renamed

I made this test blog to see what happens when a blog is renamed.
I chose the name "weblog" for my blog when I was a blogging newbie, and people using the RSS feed complained that this name was not descriptive enough in their RSS readers.
So I wanted to change the name, but I didn't want to undo all the work I've put into spreading the URL for the blog and the RSS feed around the Internet.
The result of my testing is that when you rename your blog, nothing breaks. The old URLs for your blog and blog entries become redirects, and the URL for the RSS feed does not change.
Here's the old URL for my blog:
http://fsfe.org/fellows/ciaran/weblog
And here's the new one:
http://fsfe.org/fellows/ciaran/ciaran_s_free_software_notes
...but I don't have to tell anyone to change or update anything.
So, as far as I can tell, everything worked fine.
