allow IMG tag in articles?!

allow IMG tag in articles?!
Is there any way to write an article that has more than one picture? I think there should be.
If the IMG tag was allowed, that would be easy to circumvent, but apparently it isn't and the articles have some weird markup mix between HTML and WYSIWYG without an actual WYSIWYG editor for it.
Could we at least allow the IMG tag in articles for now?
