what you think about a forum or mailinglist for all fellows with no public archive and no access for non-members? I think the feeling that everything someone writes will follow them for years in google&co often slow down or even inhibit some "small talk discussion". I would like to have a place were fellows can chat/talk to each other like they would meet each other in the real world. Just with no one writing a public protocol and without the feeling that your words will follow you for years through the whole internet. Maybe something like a fellowship irc or jabber-server + jabber-chat would be interesting too. What do you think about it?

Re: proposal

These are good ideas. We're currently working on a Jabber server, for a start. If you're very daring, feel free to volunteer for testing.

Re: proposal

Okay, the Fellowship Jabber server is now up and running. You should be able to create yourself an account in your User Preferences at https://www.fsfe.org/en/fsfeuser/userproperties. If you create an account, you should receive email with information on how to use the Jabber login.

Re: proposal

I get an error message telling me creating the account would have failed. I receive mails about the creation of my account anyway.
