new blog writing interface confusion

When writing a blog entry, I used to be asked for a title, the text of the entry, and a list of tags. Now I'm also asked for a short entry, an intro, my location, an author, and an image, and some alternate image text. It would be good if there was some information on what the new fields are used for (by fsfe.org and by feed aggregators), and some information on whether it's ok to ignore these fields (like the way many forms put an asterisk beside mandatory fields). The formatting toolbar has also disappeared. This is good for me because I always switch to html mode, but others might want it.

Looks like my mistake

Everything is back to normal now. I'm thinking now, maybe I wasn't in the blog writing interface earlier, maybe I was in the news entry interface or some other interface. Sorry about the false report.

Re: new blog writing interface confusion

Wow, you scared me Yesterday I ported few fixes done by Alejandro Serrano from the test system and I was afraid I screwed something up. I'm glad it was a false alarm. thanks stef
