Imagine if you where ill, yet a diagnostic could not be done because information relating to what is wrong with you wasn't shared.
This is the reason why I support open source. (If there is a problem with a program, being able to read the source code is one way to solve it.) Free software is open.
Imagine, there was medication to treat your illness yet nobody would give it to you.
The philosophy of sharing, is the reason I like free software, it opens a window of opportunities, unlike facing a locked window that won't even let you have a breath of fresh air. Sharing isn't about giving and not receiving, or just receiving.
The Gnu's give a lot, and in my eyes don't receive as much as they should.
Free Software is available to all regardless of ones roots and origins, even regardless of the system they use. UNIX LINUX OS X even Vista. In my eyes, they are an example of pure humanism working towards the freedom of us all.
I'm not teaching anybody anything here, I am just exposing my point of view.
