PIN gpg: apdu_send_simple(0) failed: unknown status error gpg: encrypted with ELG-E key, ID 00000000 gpg: encrypted with RSA key, ID 00000000 gpg: decryption failed: secret key not available dave@obilix:~$ gpg -vd Xorg.0.log.gpg gpg: public key is 00000000 gpg: anonymous recipient; trying secret key 96BF8A66 ... gpg: reader slot 0: using ccid driver gpg: slot 0: ATR=3B FA 13 00 FF 81 31 80 45 00 31 C1 73 C0 01 00 00 90 00 B1 gpg: AID: D2 76 00 01 24 01 01 01 00 01 00 00 05 EE 00 00 gpg: anonymous recipient; trying secret key 4E6EF5E6 ... gpg: anonymous recipient; trying secret key 33B7B70C ... I am at a loss as the output of gpg --edit-key in section 6.8 is exactly the same as in the HowTo Can anyone help please?

With gpg ccid driver it only works for basic operations. Well at least I manged to find the prob .

Managed to work it out, the reader a OmniKey 5121 needed the manufactures PC/SC driver to work properly. With gpg ccid driver it only works for basic operations. Well at least I manged to find the prob .
