Max is Program Manager of FSFE and responsible for some of our policy areas and public campaigns. For example, he coordinates the activities around the EU Radio Lockdown Directive or the annual I Love Free Software Day. Additionally he is part of the webmasters and translators teams.
He started to get active in FSFE in 2011 as a voluntary translator. Later he did an six month internship. Since then he has been involved in numerous campaigns, public events, and policy issues as a volunteer and later as part-time employee.
Beside his master's studies in Politics in Münster (NRW/Germany), Max is an IT freelancer. After he finished his bachelor's degree, he lived in Tanzania from March until July 2015, working as a volunteer at TAREO. From time to time he gives an update about his current private and professional activities on his blog.
Max works/worked on many FSFE campaigns and activities, for example: Free Software in Germany, Radio Lockdown Directive, Compulsory Routers, I love Free Software Day, Free Your Android, Document Freedom Day, DRM (Digital Restriction Management), FSFE translations and web pages, and many press releases, guest articles, talks, booths...
