The FSF* network

We work with other international groups to promote Free Software on every continent. The following organisations are sister organisations of the FSFE, and part of the Free Software network. Each organisation has its own cultural background, and is legally, financially, and operationally independent.

1985: The Free Software Foundation (FSF) was established shortly after the GNU project.
2001: Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) founded.
2003: Free Software Foundation India (FSFI) founded.
2005: Free Software Foundation Latin America (FSFLA) founded.
